Universal Freight Organisation (UFO) was established in January 2000 by Rachel Crawford to provide independent freight forwarders with access to a trusted, worldwide network of agents operating under a strict Code of Conduct. Today, UFO is an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified association built on mutual trust, shared knowledge, and a commitment to helping every member grow their business.
UFO is one of the world's only remaining freight networks with a strict two members per country policy (with exceptions for USA, UAE, and China), making it one of the most exclusive independent freight networks in existence. With 120+ members across 95+ countries, every UFO member is carefully selected based on their reputation, industry accreditations, and completion of a rigorous entry procedure. Annual Quality Control Surveys and an Online Payment Monitoring System ensure consistently high performance standards across the network.
Members benefit from a comprehensive package including free marketing tools, customised brochure websites, eLearning opportunities, an eMAGAZINE, mobile contact access, collaboration with major industry exhibitions, and face-to-face networking at the Annual Meeting.

UFO operates an Online Payment Monitoring System to maintain financial stability across the network. Members are required to settle invoices promptly and adhere to strict membership rules. Annual Quality Control Surveys ensure consistently high standards. No formal freight protection scheme is in place, but the network's strong culture of mutual accountability and exclusivity provides a powerful practical safeguard.
